General Purpose pH Sensors

Turtle Tough pH sensors have been designed to work in the world’s most extreme liquid analysis applications. Our scientists and engineers have had decades of real world experience in developing measurement solutions for tough industrial applications. We have dedicated years to perfecting measurement solutions in precious metal refining such as gold, copper, nickel and zinc. We have also engineered time tested solutions for titanium dioxide production, ammonium nitrate, solvent extraction, and industrial waste water applications. Through science and ingenuity, advances in materials and manufacturer plus some good old fashion trial and error (which we call experience) we have overcome many of the physical, chemical and human challenges that each application presents. Turtle Tough CW-I Inline pH Sensor

Our Turtle Tough CW-I Inline pH Sensor contains utilises our most affordable and budget conscious CPVC body material. A key feature of this sensor is a compact style solid-state, non-porous, cross-linked polymer embedded in a HDPE support matrix. This enables the sensor to hold excess KCl assuring saturation at all temperatures for stability and long sensor service life in applications where little or no maintenance will be performed. The standard glass is many times stronger than common pH sensors and delivers an outstanding broad range performance. The CPVC immersion style body has a ¾” MNPT threaded connection on the front and back end.

The Turtle Tough Chem Attack pH Sensor utilises the superior chemical resistance of a RYTON body plastic materials to resist attack. A key feature of this sensor is a compact style solid-state, non-porous, cross-linked polymer embedded in a HDPE support matrix. This enables the sensor to hold excess KCl assuring saturation at all temperatures for stability and long sensor service life in applications where little or no maintenance will be performed. GP-III Immersion pH Sensor

The GP-III Immersion pH Sensor is design purposefully for tough immersion applications. The RYTON body plastics combined with our advanced high capacity Polypropylene reference are design for chemical resistance, including sulphides. Utilising our proprietary toughened glass the sensor is ideal for slurries and abrasive media as well as being capable of resisting acids or fluorides that may chemically attack the glass.

GP-IV Twist lock pH Sensor

The GP-IV Twist Lock pH Sensor is uniquely design to interface with our twist lock receptacle for easy insertion or removal from any inline process. The standard KYNAR fitting is rated to 50 psi, while the PEEK twist lock receptacle is capable of withstanding 100 psi. A simple one-half turn is enough to engage the sensor in or out of the process line, eliminating the need to “screw-in” a threaded connection. This avoids the time consuming process of a threaded connection, as well as the twisting and twirling of cables that often results in broken connections.

The GP-V Valve Retractable pH Sensor is uniquely designed to interface with our HOT TAP insertion valve retractable assembly, or sanitary assembly held in place by a tri-clover fitting. Both methods allow for rapid insertion and removal from a process under pressure.

This allows for very long life at deep submersion in even the most aggressive processes without needing to seal the sensor onto an immersion rod. The flexible cable sealing actually allows a sensor to be lowered into a tank or process directly by the cable itself, without any supporting structure. Turtle Tough have design unique and proprietary sensor guide tubes to facilitate this optional installation method, eliminating the need for heaving and cumbersome immersion rods.

GP-VIII High Temperature pH Sensor

The GP-VIII High Temperature pH Sensor is made with PEEK body plastics to resist high process temperatures up to 135°C continuous operating temperature. With an optional upgrade to the reference we can achieve continuous temperature exposure of 150°C. All Turtle Tough high temperature sensors are equipped with fast response temperature compensation to guarantee high calibration accuracy. At these temperatures slow response to temperature can introduce significant measurement errors that are reduced by high accuracy and rapid response temperature compensation.

The propriety Turtle Tough Reference is specially manufactured to enable dehydration and rehydration for continuous exposure to dry conditions with only intermittent periods of wetness.
