5700 Bulk Tank Gauge

Applications:

The 5700 Series Gauge provides a visual means for checking the contents of a bulk tank and a means for checking the injection rate of a chemical metering pump. The gauge is designed to operate in low to medium pressure applications up to 500 psig.

Gauge Features:

The sight tube of the 5700 Series Level Gauge is totally protected. Three sides of the gauge are protected with a metal frame, while the face of the gauge is protected with a polycarbonate shield. This shield can be custom calibrated to read tank volume or any other calibration. Refer to the Product Specifications tab to see the assortment of standard shield options. For mounting purposes, a mounting lug is welded to the back of the gauge. The standard sight tube is glass; other sight tube materials are available, along with a wide option of o-ring seals. The gauge is fitted with 1/2" MNPT x 3/8" FNPT connections.

One Minute Test:

The injection rate is checked by closing a valve between the gauge and chemical storage tank and observing the change in fluid height in one minute. Using the rate scale on the front of the polycarbonate shield, count the number of marks the fluid level passed in the one minute test period. This will give you the actual chemical pump rate. If the rate is not the one desired, make an adjustment to the chemical pump feed rate and conduct as many one minute tests as is necessary to set the chemical pump rate to the rate desired. If a higher pump rate is required, the test period can be shortened to 30 seconds or 15 seconds.

CUSTOM SHIELDS: KENCO can provide custom scales to meet your needs. The Polycarbonate custom scales are usually engraved and paint-filled. If you are needing scales indicating tank volume or other scale calibrations, please consult the factory.

** IMPORTANT: Pressure and temperature are dependent on the length of glass and the elastomer chosen. Please consult the factory for minimum and maximum pressure and temperature constraints.
